Strategic Purchasing has created a brokerage service which leverages off provisions within its contracts.
All clients are eligible to use this extension of our services, subject to their own
internal purchasing protocols.
A dedicated Contract Project Manager from Strategic Purchasing establishes the requirements,
co-ordinates the schedules for response and rounds of negotiation, which typically
include early settlement bonuses and value adds.
A rationalised and pre-qualified supplier base is invited to bid for the client’s
business, as an extension of the initial Strategic Purchasing Master Agreement (established through
a public tendering process). This details the general standards of service,
guarantees and warranties, supply periods, rebate, reporting requirement and
conditions of contract.
Following the evaluation, both the cost analysis and non-price criteria are
forwarded to the client.
Case-by-case particulars are negotiated and formalized through a Sub Agreement
between the client and the successful supplier/s.
The entire process is generally completed in a matter of weeks and takes no
more than a few days of staff time.
